This hike for experienced walkers takes you to the remarkable sites of Royans Vercors such as the Gorges de la Lyonne, the lac de Bouvante, the forêt de Lente and the Val Sainte-Marie cirque.
Description
Turning its back on the cliffs of Omblèze, the Grand Tour du Vercors hike now comes close to the villages of Léoncel and Bouvante-le-Haut (3), passing through notable spots such as Le Grand Echaillon (1) and Col du Lion (2) pass as it runs through deciduous and coniferous forests. The section between Many bridge and Rioupeysson (4) pass can be tricky since the path is narrow and slippery. The route then crosses the forest to the clearings of auberge du Pionnier (5) followed by Col de la Portette pass (6) and on to the hamlet of Lente at the intersection of Quatres Routes.
- Departure : Léoncel (village)
