The plateau of Molière-Sornin forms part of the Molière-Sornin nature conservation area. This summer pasture is threatened by the encroachment of spruce trees in particular, which are constricting the environment. In response, a policy has been introduced to rehabilitate the meadow, keeping the environment open and safeguarding the site's biodiversity.
A final push made all the easier by the unforgettable landscapes and viewpoints!

A reintroduction project was carried out in 1990, when the Vercors was identified as one of the most suitable sites in France.Catch a trace (carved) hides in the gap of the Pas de l'Ours!

Recommandations

It’s possible to extend the stage by circling around the Sornin plateau (from Molière).

Take care: the trail that climbs to Pas de la Corne is often slippery; a handrail has been installed to make certain parts safer.

Use the passageways to cross the fences, close the gates and barriers.

Stay on the marked paths is also respect private property.

You are crossing a conservation nature area with specific regulations to be respected (information panel at the entrance to the site).
Herd protection dogs
In the mountain pastures, the guard dogs are there to protect the herds from predators. When I hike, I adapt my behaviour by going around the herd and pausing so that the dog can identify me. Click here to see the video : c'est quoi au juste un chien de protection ?
